Minimalist Ingredients

Beeswax (Cera Alba)
Our star protector! Beeswax forms a breathable barrier over your skin, locking in moisture to keep dryness at bay. It gives Narwhal its lasting power, so you can forget about it until the next time you blow your nose.

Peppermint Oil (Mentha Piperita)
This oil isn’t just for candy canes! Peppermint oil adds a refreshing scent and a cooling touch. Known for mild antimicrobial effects, it’s here to give your nose a little extra “oomph” when you're feeling stuffy.

Eucalyptus Oil (Eucalyptus Globulus)
Eucalyptus is a classic, and for good reason—it has a fresh, uplifting aroma that helps clear the airways. Plus, it adds another layer of mild antimicrobial support, perfect for the germy sniffles.

Camphor Oil (Camphor)
A little bit goes a long way with camphor oil. It's a gentle decongestant, with a warming effect that gives your skin a calming sensation, while its mild antimicrobial properties add a natural boost for extra protection. (Not present in Narwhal Sensitive.)

Olive Oil (Olea Europaea Fruit Oil)
An old-school skin hero, olive oil helps soften and nourish the delicate areas around your nose. Packed with vitamins and fatty acids, it complements the balm’s hydration blend to keep skin soft and resilient.

Vaseline (Petrolatum)
Our balm’s hydrating powerhouse. Vaseline creates a moisture-locking layer that lets your skin heal and stay hydrated, even when you’re reaching for those tissues every five minutes.

Vitamin E (Tocopheryl Acetate and Sunflower Oil)

Vitamin E is an antioxidant superstar, helping soothe and support healthy skin. Diluted in sunflower oil, it works quietly behind the scenes to keep your skin feeling soft and happy, even during those sniffly days.

Nothing more, nothing less, in fully recyclable, cardboard packaging.

"Pleased with the product as I have trouble in the winter with my nose splitting inside the nostril which stings and gets painful so this is ideal to moisturise and easy to use"

FAQs

Q: Why does it cost more than a lipbalm?

A: Our Narwhal Nose Balm is 10g, whereas lipbalms are generally around 4-5 grams, so if you double the price of a high-quality lip balm, you can see that Narwhals are very good value! (For example, "Berg’s Buzzers" Lip Balm at Boots costs around £1.1/g :)

Q: Why are there darker spots around the opening of my Narwhal Stick?

A: Each Narwhal Stick is handmade and hand-poured into eco-friendly cardboard packaging. Occasionally, a bit of the hot balm may seep through during filling, creating darker spots. This is a natural result of our artisanal process and does not affect the quality or integrity of your balm. Rest assured, it’s perfectly normal!

Q: How does it stay sanitary?

A: Narwhal is crafted with essential oils like peppermint, eucalyptus, and camphor, which have mild antimicrobial properties, helping to keep the balm fresh between uses. Plus, our push-up stick design means you won’t need to touch the balm directly, minimizing hand contact. And here’s a bonus: there’s a spot on the packaging for you to write your name, so it’s easy to keep track of your personal stick—even in a busy household!

Q: What makes Narwhal different from other balms?

A: Narwhal combines hydrating ingredients with a refreshing, natural aroma in a convenient, matte-finish formula, in push-up, cardboard stick packaging. Plus, it’s carefully crafted in small batches in the UK with a commitment to quality and sustainability. There's nothing like this out there in the market at the moment!

Q: Is this safe for sensitive skin?

A: Absolutely! Narwhal is designed with gentle, skin-friendly ingredients, though we always recommend a patch test first if you’re sensitive. For extra delicate skin and senses we recommend trying our Narwhals Sensitive Nose Balm Stick containing reduced levels of essential oils and no camphor.

Q: What are your processing and shipping timings?

Your order will typically be dispatched within 1-2 business days.

Estimated delivery times are as follows:

  • Standard UK delivery: 2-3 business days

  • Express UK delivery: 1-2 business days

We do ship worldwide too, however delivery times will be much longer, typically around 7-10 business days.

Q: Can I use this balm anywhere else?

A: Of course! While it’s perfect for noses, Narwhal can be used on other dry patches, like your lips or cuticles, but don't use near the eyes.

Q: How long does a stick last?

A: Our balm is packed for efficiency. Just a small amount is all you need, making each stick long-lasting, even with regular use.

Q: Does the balm have a strong scent?

A: Narwhal Nose Balm has a refreshing scent from natural peppermint, eucalyptus, and camphor oils. It’s noticeable but not overwhelming, providing a gentle, uplifting aroma that’s perfect for a little self-care. If you're looking for something milder, please try our Narwhal Sensitive Nose Balm Stick.

Q: Will it leave my skin looking shiny?

A: Not at all! Narwhal balm is specially formulated to leave a matte finish, so you get hydration and protection without any greasy or shiny residue.

Q: Is the balm vegan?

A: Narwhal contains beeswax, so it’s not entirely vegan. However, all ingredients are naturally sourced and cruelty-free. We're working on a vegan option!

Q: How should I store the balm?

A: We recommend keeping your Narwhal balm in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. This will help maintain its consistency and extend its shelf life. If you don't use it for a longer period (maybe over summer), you can keep it in the fridge (but make sure it doesn't get wet).

Q: Can kids use Narwhal Nose Balm?

A: We recommend Narwhal Sensitive for children, but always consult a healthcare professional before using it on very young children or infants.

Q: Does the balm help with redness from frequent tissue use?

A: Yes, Narwhal’s blend of moisturizing ingredients like olive oil, beeswax, and vitamin E can help soothe and reduce the appearance of redness from tissue use, and it protects your nose from all the rubbing!

Q: Is Narwhal Nose Balm eco-friendly?

A: Absolutely! Our balm comes in eco-friendly, recyclable paper packaging, and we’re committed to sustainable practices.
